Story of us
The story of Alpha to Omega started 40 years
ago, when my aunt could not find the right
learning support for her daughter. She was able
to get trained in UK and US directly by the
pioneers of Special Ed. My cousin developed
into an empowered, independent learner, and
my aunt went on to take her experience to
India, where she opened a not-for-profit school that has been supporting students with learning
difficulties ever since.
Having seen this journey in my own family,
in 2013, I decided to bring Alpha to Omega to
Singapore. I wanted children from mainstream
schools to benefit from our techniques. Only a
few years later, one of my own children needed
intervention. And again, in my own home,
I saw how consistent access to learning support
impacted his learning ability.
This is personal for me. I want every child
in Singapore to be able to get the same support
as my cousin and my son.
When parents come to us with worry, we
want to partner them, so they are able to
see their child's potential. And, over time,
be amazed by their progress.
